Today, exactly 10 years ago, UAV "Grif-1" made its maiden flight. By now the line of medium-range UAV complexes (UAV "Griff-K", UAV "Kondor-1", UAV "Kondor-2") has been created on the basis of UAV "Griff-1", they are intended for 24-hour air reconnaissance, determination of coordinates of air defense complexes and their technical characteristics, training of combat crews of air defense units.

On 25 November 1991, the test pilot N.P. Nesnov performed the first flight of the multipurpose Su-27SK aircraft. The Su-27SK single-seat front-line fighter is an export version of the Su-27 aircraft, produced in quantity since 1991 at KnAAPO (today – a branch of JSC “Sukhoi Company” “Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant named after Y.A. Gagarin”).

On October 27, 1986 test pilot V.G. Pugachyov set new world record time of climbing to 3000 meters on P-42 aircraft. He reached the height in 25.4 seconds, and on November 15 he reached heights of 6000, 9000 and 12000 meters in 37.1 s, 47.0 s and 58.1 s, respectively, improving the decade-long record of the American pilot R. Smith, who flew a special version of the F-15 (F-15A-6-MC, 72-0119, Streak Eagle), by more than two seconds.
